Rev. Dr. Loran E. Mann began his pastoral
ministry in 1971 by establishing Pentecostal Temple with
nineteen people who were won to Christ in a tent revival.
The newly-formed church body held its services in a small
church located on Laketon Road in the Wilkinsburg section
of the city of Pittsburgh. Over the next two decades, the
Lord has blessed the church with record growth and He continues
to do so. In 1991, the new sanctuary, a $1.2 million project,
was dedicated. This church represents the realization of
Pastor Mann's vision. Under Rev. Mann's leadership, Pentecostal
Temple owns and operates radio station WGBN AM 1150, Pittsburgh's
premier full-time gospel music station. With plans to construct
a $2-million dollar complex underway, the Pentecostal Temple Church
family will reach the community through educational, recreational,
and social ministries. When anointed men of God pray prayers
and utilize faith to actualize visions, the seemingly impossible
can be accomplished.
